Overheating ?
Overheating ?
Ok I have a 2002 lx civic need some advice here..
My problem is whenever I drive and hit the traffic my car's temp starts to go up and as soon as I start moving my temp goes down. BUT, my main concern is when I turn my a/c on and hit the traffic nothing happens temps stay where it is doesnt go up or anything. I also checked and both fans are working, so what could it be ? I haven't changed my water pump and I dont know when is it due because I changed my tach and forgot to mark my tach.
could it be a bad water pump? thermostat or fan ? headgasket(I dont see any signs of white smoke or anything my coolant are upto par no changes or anything)?

Re: Overheating ?
Hmmm....
Start with the simple and cheap stuff.
If you haven't already change your thermostat, rad cap. Then bleed the system really good. If the problem persists then you can look into other things. If you had a blown head gasket your coolant reservoir container would probably be overflowing and your coolant level would be low. How many miles on the car? Water pump is such a pain in the *** because it's timing belt driven.
