Thumbs down The instrument panel D indicator is dead

I own a Honda Civic 2002 Ex 4-door. Since last month, the D indicator on the instrument panel has gone off when I shift to the drive gear. The other indicators are fine. The User Manual only mentions about the situation that the indicator might flash. Can anyone shed some lights on this issue? Thank you in advance!

Most likely just a bulb out, the later model 7th gens use LEDs, early are bulbs. Pretty common for the bulbs to go out.

You may need to get one of the pre-assembled T* bulbs from Honda or it might possibly be a # 74 mini wedge base. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Re: The instrument panel D indicator is dead

Dear CraigW,

I am relieved! I was worried that the transmission might have had problem. I plan to take it to dealer to have a look.
