2002 Civic LX change timing belt. TOD at number 1 piston
Hi. Dear Honda Owner:
I want to change my 2002 LX civic timing belt. Before I start I want to get everything clear. My question is: suppose that I get the timing belt off and I totally disturbed the timing relation between crankshaft and camshaft, how do I set up the TDC for number 1 piston on the compression stroke.
I had read the timing belt change from this url and still have the above question
http://www.7thgenhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5796
I also have Haynes Repair Manual and I read it as well
I am asking this question because if the timing is messed up, it might get the valve and piston damaged and it will cost thousands.
Thanks for the help.
