Re: hood prop clip

lol why would they steal it. you mean the one that holds the upper part of the lever by the battery? or the white clip that the whole thing sits in by the ps belt. just go back and complain

Re: hood prop clip

They probably forgot to put it back and now its laying around their shop waiting for you to come back. If its not there, have them reimburse you for it. And next time, do your own work on the car!

Re: hood prop clip

haha it doesn't really matter. :P its that little piece of white plastic that holds the lever down when the hood is closed. I took it to the dealership to get rear end repairs after someone hit my car....they evidently did stuff to the engine in addition to fixing my rear bumper, b/c I noticed light scratches on my hood and that clip missing....
On another topic, I thought I read this somewhere, the rear brake pads never need replacing. At least not as often as the front? I have a 03 civic ex d17a2.

Re: hood prop clip

well the rears are brake shoes (for drums), and usually ppl dont replace them til 100k miles where front brake pads (and rotors) need replacing every 20-40k miles.

Re: hood prop clip

i think 70% of your braking power comes from the front. i need both rear and front done.
