Should I do a motor swap

I have a 2001 civic dx hatch non vtech unfotunetly. Is there anything good bout my motor or should I just go ahead and do a swap??

if you want a car for racing, sell your 1.7 litre civic that has 115 hp and buy something else. this car is designed for fuel economy with a slightly sporty style.

a motor swap will cost you anywhere between 5000 and 10 000$ easily depending on what you put in and if you do any or all of it yourself. dont expect it to be cheap. even then you will still be under 200 hp.

if youre not willing to spend that kind of money, your civic will never ever beat anything. including the average soccer moms mini-van next to you at a set of lights.

Yes, it costs money to get these cars fast. You can always put a turbo on. It has been done here on the forum, but even turbos are not all that cheap. Otherwise unTuned has the swap costs right on

buy you a cheap hatch, gut it, put in a b18 and a turbo. done.
