I have a 2004 ciivic ex coupe automatic
i come at a stop sigh and then give it gas and the engine will rev and dden the car willmove
if i put it in reverse , it wont move unless i give it gas and will will rev a lil and then move
what the problem??
please help

Check your tranny fluid level. Have you seen any oil on your driveway lately where you park your Civic?

yea i checked it ,,, seems low,, im gonna put sum fluid tomorrow and see,,,and no no fluid was leaking.....could this jus may b tranny fluid or is this a sighn of needing a new tranny....

doesnt matter, if if you drive manual with no fluid same thing would still happen.

I hear you Greenmachine,,,I used to buy only manual drives. As we (my wife & I) got older we eventualy have autos. My girls cars (01 Civic & 03 CR-V) are autos as well. I used to turn wrenches as a kid with my older brother and he told me way back then that a transmission shop is almost always called an "Automatic Transmission Shop".

i do feel a lot more in control with a maual, and there nothing quite as satifying as blipping the throttle and down changing coming up to a corner, then powering it out almost hitting the red line and back hard on the brakes down another gear and a quick upshift........sorry got carried away there
