Air intake Q.
Air intake Q.
I was at a used car auction this past Thursday, I saw a 2002 Honda civic auto lx coupe, When I opened the hood, I saw a cold air intake filter ( The typical cone filter). Yet it was on what looked like the stock air intake system, So is there a actual performance increase from this? Or whats the deal?

Re: Air intake Q.
its just a cheap mod to make noise. prolly gives worse performance cause youre sucking in all the hot air right next to the engine.
Re: Air intake Q.
garbage. thats a retarded idea by a guy just trying to be cool.
even with a full short ram or cold air intake, you barely see any increase in a d17 engine. with a cone on the throttlebody (if it even fit facing upward, or half an airbox with a cone filter, youre just sucking in air from the back of the engine which is hot.
i wish i could see a picture of that junk.
