So I have an Automatic 2002 Honda Civic LX and i'm "saving up my change" , no literally i am saving my change to buy a mod under the hood. Whats the difference and what would be the best for my car?

cold air is longer and stretches around to the bottom front under the bumper to draw cold air, short ram fits right up near your battery. both let more air into your engine, increasing horsepower very slightly, and make accelerating louder.
get a short ram, CAI are too expensive, harder to install, and could suck up water in you got caught in a heavy storm

get a weapon R short ram they usually come with a ram air kit so you get the best of both worlds.

i have aem short ram in blue, its dope
installation instructions usually come with it, pretty much take out stock airbox intake and rreplace it with aftermarket intake , and connect the sensor

For this type of car, the SRI is just as good as the CAI. The difference in horsepower between the two is negligible since the engine itself puts out nothing. Both will give you better throttle response and better sound. It just depends on how much money you want to spend and how much time you want to spend on installing it. I have the SRI and it took all but 20 min to install it. The CAI will take longer because of the added tubing and costs almost twice as much. Then, AEM makes the V2 for our cars, and it couldn't be a bigger waist of money. Just get the SRI.

ok well now that i know im going to get a SRI, im gonna go the safe route and get an AEM SRI, but the true question is what color should i get for my black honda civic. red? blue? silver?

whatever color you think is best. it's your car do whatever you want with it. i have a silver civic with a blue SRI. why cuz i like the blue.
