Re: breather filter .
Anything that wont get sucked in there. You could pick up some of that plastidip and do several dunks to make a plastic cap for it
Re: breather filter .
i was actually just thinking about the same thing last night.
when i ordered my intake the hose they gave me wasnt long enough so no matter how tight i have it clamped, sometimes it slides off the valve cover side. i was thinking just to get a breather filter for the valve cover side and capping the intake hole as well.
what i was thinking was just going to the store and buying one of those little syringes of all purpose epoxy. you just squeeze it out and when it mixes together it becomes very very thick, almost like gum. you put it where you need and within a few minutes its set, and in a couple hours its dry as steel. its definitely a permanent fix so if you want to do that, it would be a bitch to ever get off. the more i think about it the more id want to avoid it.
the best idea is just to probably find a thick piece of rubber, maybe even one of those rubber bouncy *****, and just keep cutting chunks off of it until you make it into a mushroom shape and squeeze it in there, that way you can make it fit as tight as you want it to, and by making it a mushroom shape, it will never get sucked in either.

yeah it really wont matter, so long as its sealed and not able to get sucked in. i was also thinking one of those flat square thin pieces of rubber patch that you patch a bicycle tire with. you could just put it over it and put a small ring clamp over it. theyre pretty thick and durable but still really small.

Re: breather filter .
well breather filter is a bad idea. you need the vacuum for the pcv valve to work properly and keep corrosive gases out of the engine. breather filter does not just cause more pollution, it will slowly destroy your engine.
Re: breather filter .
so in other words its better to have the vacuum of your intake suck the gasses out and spit them into the throttlebody? wouldnt that be worse then just letting them out of the system with a breather filter?
or do you actually need a vacuum to release the gasses?

Re: breather filter .
hmm well thats good to know. i was going to plug my intake and put a breather filter since the hose they sent me was a bit too short, it sometimes slides off and i have to reclamp it. i was thinking it just vents on its own out of the chamber. i never even thought it needs vacuum to work. in that case i wont touch it.
Re: breather filter .
i just picked up some tubeing from napa one foot for $1.50 so whatever you got for auto stores in canada bring in that crappy short tube and get that diameter .
