How easy is it to replace my rear speakers?

I have an 03 EX Coupe...was thinking about replacing my rear speakers with these...

My stereo is stock and I havent made any changes...would it be as simple as unhooking my old speakers and putting the new ones in?

Re: How easy is it to replace my rear speakers?

well usually yeah, once you remove about 10 different plastic trim pieces and the deck lid. its alot of work if youve never done it. and assuming the speaker isnt too deep that it fits around the torsion bars in the trunk without touching them. but with a stock stereo, youre gonna get worse sound than before cause oem speaker only needed 5wrms to function, most aftermarket need at least 30-60w rms. the best way is to amp them, but at least an aftermarket stereo that supplies around 20 wrms is better. otherwise you will be underpowering the new speakers and they will not sound good at all.

Use crutchfield.com for car speakers. Awesome prices, wide variety of speakers, and when they ship you it they ship you detailed instructions and all the tools needed to do the installation.

If you need further help you can just call up their tech support and there's likely someone there to help you.
