where to find lip kits?
where to find lip kits?
hey guys. its beginning to get warm out which means time to start looking into dressing up the ride. currently I'm getting ready to lower my civic so I'm looking for a lip kit instead of a body kit because i don't like the idea of it cracking or having to pay A LOT for painting and fitment. basically, i need to know best places to find a lip kit so i can get ready to find one and order it. i have an 04-05 4dr. let me know, any helps appreciated. thanks guys.

Re: where to find lip kits?
just get the honda kit from www.handaaccessories.com its urethane so very flexible and the fitment is near perfect. altho im not sure how much of the coupe kit will fit the sedan. the reverb kit will fit but its harder to find.

Does anyone know where a good place would be to get an OEM lip kit in Canada? I'm fairly sure handa accessories does not ship to Canada.

stock lips? its permanently molded onto the bumpers and sides of your car if i'm not mistaken.
and yeah...body kits are ideal for an extreme change for a little price. my friend bought a carbon fiber lip kit for his 95 civic coupe and don't get me wrong it looked good...but the price was ridiculous.
i paid the same amount and got a full black widow 3 body kit for my sedan (500 off ebay) then brought the parts to maaco and they paint matched and installed it all to my vehicle for 800 bucks.
so now instead of driving around just like "everyone else" i now get people coming up and asking me what kind of car i have at car meets lol. i tell em' "its a honda" and they go "yeah but what kind???" lol.

well good thing fast and the furious just made a new movie so my body kit is back in style!
no but i agree with you completely. alot of people slap random kits, don't get them painted for MONTHS (common in the military), or buy kits that make the car look stupid...
ie... buying an EVO kit for a civic...if u really wanna dump the money for the look just buy the car and save yourself from the smirks you'll get driving around the corner.
out here in SoCal tho i think the only people that truly appreciate the "clean" or "jdm" look though are other import enthusiasts. i don't think our kind will ever get a nice compliment from someone with a Saleen or vette saying "dude ur car is really nice" and thats simply because when the fast and the furious movie came out hundreds of thousands of kids ruined our image even as civic drivers by purchasing generic mufflers and buying stupid things out of pep boys to be different thus making it hard to differentiate from the real "enthusiasts" and well.....the posers.

So this optional lip for the 2004-2005 coupe seen on H and A.. is this the lip they are talking about?

Looking to get this for my sedan, just want to be sure this is the exact item they are referring to..
