rotors...

a friend of mine here bought some rotors for his tc and came across a problem, the surface of the rotors were rough and needed to be takin to a machine shop to be re-finished, ended up not finding a shop and just forgot about them. my question is, has anyone else heard of this? what kind of rotors have people used with out having problems like that? like i've said in other threads, i'm looking to redo my suspension and while i have it in peices i wanna replace my rotors as well. thanks guys

Re: rotors...

he bought used rotors? lol. thats all i could guess. new ones always come smooth and the only way they would get rough is under heavy abuse where the pad was used up and the metal scratched the surface. normally even used rotors should be smooth.

Re: rotors...

thats what i was thinking, they didn't look used unless they cleaned them up hella good or maybe it was a freak thing, i dunno, thanks though...i found some that come with different color coatings, gonna go with a gold coating, i think it'll look good hiding behind the black rims
