difference between 7 and 8 gen civic suspension
difference between 7 and 8 gen civic suspension
Hi,
Just this little question,
is there a difference between a 04 civic coupe and a 2008 civic?
I'm meaning the suspension, can a 08 coilover kit be used on a 04 coupe?
Thanks,

Re: difference between 7 and 8 gen civic suspension
I've only seen 8th gens on the road... havent looked up close at one at all. You are going to want to make sure the brake bolts up the same, and that the stud pattern on the top of the coilover is the same and the bolts are long enough to bolt onto the shock towers... Look at the tie rod mounting locations and size as well to see if it will fit- this steers your car... also the brake line mounting locations- you can probably fab up a bracked to hold the brake line pretty easily if they are different... but even if you look up part numbers they are going to be different but might still work. The only way to tell is if you get pics or look at the suspension first hand, which I havent.
