Re: 2002 civic power windows problem

So, when the key is turned to II position is when the fuse blows ??

I would try a new fuse with the master (drivers) switch unplugged and see if the fuse blows.

u mean "still blows the fuse" lol

also check your witches arnt stuck in the up position. mine sometimes stick and after a few miles will blow the fuse. yours sound like it before the switches though.

sedan or coupe?

EDIT oh also check the hose thing that goes between the chassis and the door. the wores could have frayed and are now touching.

Re: 2002 civic power windows problem

There was a bulletin for the master switches giving problems on the sedans (not sure if blowing fuses was listed)

Someone stated they could see a burnt area or discoloration area on their defective switch.

The bulletin is attached.

yeah it burns and you can take it apart and clean the area with qtip and alcohol. it works for a while but eventually starts to come back and cause problems.

Your warranty was over when your car hit 3 years or 36,000 miles.

A service bulletin is for information only.
It is not a recall or a warranty extension.
