I was looking into making a set of these for my ride. I wanted it to say civic tho. I called up shops that would laser cut the metal, but then I ran into the problem of them being able to cut the same font because of copyright issues. Figuring out how to make the letters light up correctly wasnt the issue- just tap the dome and use a relay. The issue I ran into, once I have a cut piece of metal with the civic logo, was do I mount a clearish white plastic from underneath that would diffuse the led's? Thats all I could think of, but couldnt figure out how to make it be flush with the top of the metal.

I bought some on ebay a while back but never got around to installing them. They are the chrome or stainless steel like what you have displayed however in the center they have a frosted lexan piece that says either civic or honda, I don't remember right now and they are illuminated blue. Door a search for civic door sills on ebay.
