Hey guys i just bought a 2002 Civic LX coupe with 170K on it i just wanted some advice from the guys with experience. Is there anything i should look out for? At 170k what kind of maintance should i be doing? Also what are a few reasonable upgrades i can do performance wise to just take it up a notch. It already has cold air intake on it but that is all.

At that mileage, you should change your timing belt and all fluids if it hasnt been done so already.

What he said. Find out when or if the timing belt was done. IT was due at 168,000km so probably not done yet. Then make sure fluids have been changed. Manual tranny fluid, coolant is all you really need to worry about. Other than that you should be good.
