2005 Civic Sedan Rear Bumper Emblems?
2005 Civic Sedan Rear Bumper Emblems?
I had my rear bumper repainted a couple of days ago at the body shop and it looks great. However when I got home I realized that the body shop removed the "CIVIC" and "EX" emblems and placed them in the trunk and did not install them back.
Rather wasting another day just to bring it back and another day without the car, I decided to do it myself and bought some 3M molding tape. I removed the old doublestick tape from the emblems using adhesive remover and put new tape on.
The thing I need help on is figuring out where the original location of these emblems are. Could someone here be so kind enough to take 4 measurements off of their Civic so I know where to place the emblems:
Below is a sample pic (not my car) of what I am talking about.
A- Vertical distance from bottom of taillight to top of the "CIVIC" emblem.
B- Horizontal distance from the top part of the end of the last "C" in "CIVIC" to the trunk lid (before the gap).
C- Vertical distance from bottom of taillight to top of the "EX" emblem.
D- Horizontal distance from the trunk lid (after the gap) to the beginning of the top part of the "E" in "EX"

Please please help me.
Thanks in advance.

hi, I just had a question. I'm planning on replacing a bumper soon. How much did it cost to paint your bumper?
Also, when you take off the emblem, is it pretty sturdy or easy to break/bend? I wanted to transfer them to the new bumper (including my special addition badge or whatever it is).
Thank you!

The emblem is plastic. It can bend just a slight bit just to match the curvature of the location on the bumper but if you bend too much it could snap.
