Hi!

Sorry to bother everyone but was looking for some info that I haven't been able to find anywhere. I bought a 2004 HX (D17A6) out of state and my state requires a front license plate which it doesn't have a frame for. I have looked online and on Ebay without success and searched here in the forum for a source and came up empty also. I have looked at several of the popular online parts places (Majestic, RockAuto, Car Parts, etc.) and came up empty. Any suggestions? This is my first post, so if it is in the wrong place, let me know. Thanks in advance!

If you feel the need to flame, go ahead, I have thick skin. All that I ask is that you give me some useful info too.

I personally made my own out of some scrap metal and some welding so I didnt have to make any holes in my bumper at all

Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately, my state (Texas) requires the plate to be on the most forward part of the bumper (center). I broke down and went to the dealer and paid $35 for a complete no-holes setup.

Thanks!

wow texas is really picky..here in new york we just need it on the front dont matter where could even zip tie it to your grill if you wanted as long as they can read it. Hey $35 bux for one that does no damage to your car is great. And yea gearbox newer models dont have the built in plate holder.. it does look tacky as hell.. but when most people drill right into their bumper anyway does it really matter?
