Build question v.previouslywrecked

Ok, I had just had my transmission rebuilt and upgraded some of the parts since it was popped open already. My friend went to pick it up and crashed it by the time he got home.

The mechanic shop states that car has been in a previous front end accident because some of the parts are moved around. I had been questioning this myself as when I tried doing some looking around the engine bay didn't look right.

Anyways, is it worth even toying with the car after it's been in a wreck?

I did a Carfax check and it came up clean. I found out later that the insurance companies are paying people under the table to cover the repairs up so they can get away with a clean title which happened to me
