aight so heres my story...

i realized one day that my front pass speaker wasnt working anymore so i took the door panel off and realized that because my speakers are so deep the window actually sliced all the wires leading to the speaker...crazy right??

so anyway these speakers are new so i didnt feel like buying a new one so i just striped the wire and hooked it all back up again...

well i have alpine type-s's and theres the two wires leading thru the door to the back of the speaker...reconnected them fine

but... theres two really skinny wires that lead from the back of the speaker to the top-ish area... im assuming they power the tweeter part thats built in?

so anyway when the bass hits now in my car it sounds like a kinda metal rattling sound...not like its vibrating against the door but somethin else...could the tweeter be blown or sumthin???

im guessin im jus gonna haveta get a new speaker?

may have blown the tweeter. if you "disconnected/broke" the bottom one, the tweeter would get too much power i believe. not sure tho.
