Question Shaking Problem!

Another day, another problem! I don't know if this is the first time I have just noticed the problem or what. I have a 2002 civic EX coupe. I notice that in between 58 and 65 MPH I get a slight rumble and shake in the steering wheel, but only if I let of the gas. If I am accelerating I get no noise or rumble. The noise stops if I go below 58 MPH. What do you think it could be? I have new Raxle axles, and new Honda front lower control arm bushings, all four. Could it be the tie rod ends? Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks.

Re: Shaking Problem!

Could be the lower torque mount, the input shaft bearing..... mine was doing it to and was caused by both of these. If its a manual could be the same things

Re: Shaking Problem!

lowering should not cause shaking, but if you did not have an alignment done after lowering its an issue

Re: Shaking Problem!

I think you should check to see if your wheels are balanced and then get an alignment. If its not that then it could be engine mounts.

Re: Shaking Problem!

I just had the exact same problem. I started by having my wheels balanced and the vibration was still there. Get an alignment. It made a world of difference. I had to fork out another $100, but it was well worth it. And go to a reputable shop, because the guy that initially did it was a butcher. Pay the extra $ and get it done properly.
