crazy air flow question

crazy air flow question
Ok, I have a 05 EX with a AEM short ram. The question i have is the two fog light covers. I don't have foglights in them, just the covers. If i remove them will it let more cooler air into the engine bay (i'm sure it will 
) and if not will it create some drag. I've seen some with them off and some of them on. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.
