Just got some springs yesterday and looking for suggestions on who to go with for struts. Heard tokico blues are good any other brands?

Re: Struts

tokico blue is excellent but only for a max of 1.5 inch drop.

Re: Struts

Koni yellows and bilstein struts are another alternative but the bilsteins are a pretty penny. KYB are OEM replacements and won't be able to handle a big drop.

Re: Struts

Alright heres where my confusion comes in. I bought a set of Springs yesterday. Eibach sportlines .451 or something along those lines for model number. Anyway site advertises 1.4 inch drop all around, but others tell me it's around 1.7. With this in mind does anybody have any ideal solutions to what I would should use for struts?

Re: Struts

tokico should be fine with those springs but to be sure you can always call and ask.

Re: Struts

Remember also springs sag after a period of time. Like my Maxspeed springs are rated at 1.3inch drop but have a guarantee from the manufacture to sag to no more than 1.75 inches. I love how it sits now and I have about 1 finger gap all around. I"m dropped on Koni Yellows, my stock struts held up for nearly 2 and half years before I started to feel them get really weak and only the passenger side blew. I reckon you'd be fine with tokico blues.

Re: Struts

I just installed new Koni Sport Yellows on my 04 EX Cpe. The rears on stock springs dropped 1". The fronts got real close to that on stock springs. The fronts had to be cut for the inserts, but after finding a machine shop to handle the job, installation was simple. The Koni's are an INCREDIBLE upgrade fromt the stock struts and the best improvement of everything I have done to the car.
