im guessing the trans mounts are going bad? does it go away if you put it in neutral? is your parking brake tightened properly?
Re: car shakes in reverse
the car naturally shakes a lot more when the car is in reverse. do you by chance have an intake on your car, or anything else that could be hitting the under side of the hood?
Re: car shakes in reverse
yea i do have a intake but its not hitting the hood like the whole car shakes in reverse n yea thats what i think it is the trans mounts are going bad n the guy dosent want to say it , cause it is under warrantry n it cant be the parking brake cause the parking brake is down when it dose it n it dosent do it in net or d just rverse
Re: car shakes in reverse
yeah i had my 02 auto civic rebuilt about 2 months ago and that's the only complaint I have, its more like a rubbing sound in reverse. I notice it when i go uphill in reverse or when turning it all the way in reverse...I did bring it back to honda and they couldn't recreate the sound I was stating but they were nice enough to tell me that my strut towers need to be replaced and i need new shocks for 1000 bucks....nice guys....
I just live with it for now, it doesn't sound like its the transmission, only in reverse it is noticed, I dunno.
