so... my friend is considering to buy civic SI.
and the only reason for the SI is cause he can "smoke me". i told him it wont make much of a difference because of the sunroof that the SI has.

i know the SI only have 10-15hp difference between the LX.

has ANYONE done a stock race between an LX and a SI.

im just curious... LOL

stock EX manual has around 110whp stock, the SI is close to 140whp, and the LX is closer to 105whp.

I think he means a Canadian Si (USDM EX), so it should be 115ish vs 127 stock crank hp. Yes, the sunroof as well as a number of other things put more weight on an EX/Si, but there is not just more peak power, but more power throughout the curve as well. I would say that the EX/Si should be faster, but it would be more or less a driver's race.

all drivers ..... the difference is 127 vs 115 .. exactly and i beat the lx ... then beat my own car with my boys car showing him its drivers .. u take him off the line the race is urs

i don't think the lx can beat the si. even if the lx driver is better, unless the person drivin the si cant drive at all.

it will be very close then, a few hp will not matter much.
