convert your DX/LX to a modified EX!!!

I have a 2003 EX sedan that has suffered a horrible fate, but hopefully my loss will be your gain. This past Saturday, I let a friend borrow my car and she lost traction on the dirt road she was driving down... she jumped a ditch, went through a barbed wire fence, and took out half a dozen pine trees before coming to a stop. The car has suffered some pretty major body damage, but there is plenty left to salvage.

The motor is the D17A2 (1.7L VTEC) with an automatic transmission, and it is completely undamaged and well maintained. I have an Injen SRI intake, Neuspeed Race springs, front and rear SPC camber kit, Autopage remote start and alarm system, strut tower bars in the front and rear, 14" steel wheels with new Falken Ziex tires, Kicker coaxials all the way around... I even have the cool stock taillights (the ones with the round lights and the clear reverse lights, not the ugly ones with the pink back-up bulbs lol).. this car would be perfect for someone with a stock DX or LX to convert their vehicle to a VTEC EX and add some quality aftermarket parts.

The interior is black and in perfect condition, so those of you with Tan or other colored interiors can do a full color swap as well (door panels, consoles, seats, etc). The EX comes stock with power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control, etc so you can even replace your manual options with full power. You can even swap windows out and save yourself money on a tint job, all 4 windows and the rear are tinted with 4% Llumar Platinum.

I currently have the vehicle posted on Mautofied.com where you can see the pictures of what it USED to look like as well as my asking price, and I created a Photobucket.com account where you can view the accident scene photos. Feel free to email with any questions you may have, and I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Re: convert your DX/LX to a modified EX!!!

i would prefer to sell it as is and let someone tear it apart and modify their own Civic with all the aftermarket parts... I'll keep it online for a little while, and if I'm not having any luck then I'll part it out...

I wasn't driving, but the girl that was says she was going 45 MPH... if you look at the Photobucket pics and see how far back in the trees she was, you'll most likely say the same thing I said: bullshit! lol

thanks for the reply... keep em coming...

Those stickers dont come off nicely man.. you take it off and you'll leave half (or all) of the adhesive or half of the sticker on the visor... And I hate my beige interior.. hence the request.. lol

Re: convert your DX/LX to a modified EX!!!

i was a prominent member on 7thgencivic.com's forums back in the day, and i remember ALOT of people didn't like their beige and tan interiors, that's why i decided to sell the whole car on here... someone with a DX/LX sedan with an interior they don't like could pretty much have the car you see in the Mautofied.com pics (which was pretty damn cool in my opinion lol)...

anyway, if the car doesn't sell as a whole, i'll be parting it out and i'll make a list of all of the parts in a new thread, with first dibs going to those of you that mentioned something in this thread (i'll PM everyone before i post the new thread)...

this car IS salvageable, by the way... i'm not sure what the total repair bill would be, but a 2003 EX sedan with a decent list of aftermarket parts isn't a bad project car... I would LOVE to fix this car, but honestly in the past 4 years i've had my share of fun with it and it's time to move on... now it's your turn lol

one more thing, about the stickers... i know the one on the passenger's visor is gone, but i think i still have the one on the driver's side... i believe there's a sticker that says "It's not easy being a princess" or something like that up there as well (don't ask, long story lol), if i can get one off you can have them both... i'll keep you posted :-D

Re: convert your DX/LX to a modified EX!!!

great thanks lol.... yea i know they dont come off nicely....when i first bought my car i had a stupid friend in the passenger side that noticed the one on the driver side was bubbly and peeling off so he ripped it off and there u go...all adhesive ugliness... i just want the sticker so i can i guess super glue it back on. i just hate seeing the passenger one all nice and then a bunch of dry goo on my side...

Re: convert your DX/LX to a modified EX!!!

If i don't reply to you individually, please don't take offense! I've got this thread in 3 different forums, as well as on other web sites, it's quite a task PM'ing and all with individual answers...

Feel free to ask any questions you like, but if they are about parts or shipping, I will get back to you when i decide to part out... it should be in the very near future, since it's looking like noone is going to buy the vehicle as-is...

I will go through every thread and make a list of every part you guys have asked about, and then i'll PM you and we'll negotiate on a price and shipping and all that... those that asked about a specific part first (intake, tails, springs, camber kit, etc) will have first dibs (i'll PM you too), and then everything else will be posted for all to see... thanks so much for the inquiries, and i look forward to keeping in touch with all of you...

Re: convert your DX/LX to a modified EX!!!

He is parting it out, look up.

As for the Civic, I'd put about a 18 inches of leg with a boot attached up the chick's ***. From there, I'd get her to take out a loan to pay me for at least the value of the car. Sue if you have to. Of course, why would you let a friend borrow your car in the first place? Do they not have cabs in your area? Sheesh... I'd be pissed if I were you. She'd definitely be paying for it.
