Sound up front...

When I first get in my 01 EX 5 speed, crank it and put it in gear, I will go approximately 50 ft and I hear this knock on the front of my car like something is locking in the tranny. It centralizes near the front passenger side tire. Is this something locking in because it only happens when I first get in and not when I park it to go in a store or something? Is this a CV joint or something else with the tranny? Is there any preventative maintenance possible to do?

Re: Sound up front...

If I remember correctly, this is a common issue a lot of people have with there civics. I believe that its an issue with the springs, and it doesn't cause any damage, but just an annoying popping sound everytime you use your car.

I only hear it in the morning and when I get out of work, but if I drive and stop for 20 minutes, and come back and use it again I dont hear it.
