2) If im not the only one what do u guys recommend as a solution ?

Re: In-cabin Noise Reduction ?

1. get softer tires

2. rip out interior, cover in dynamat or similar product

3. get allignment done, may help tires wear better(im assuming ur getting a whirring noise)

Re: In-cabin Noise Reduction ?

theres always rust proofing.
tell the guys to spray the black stuff under you wheel wells and frame... it prevents rust AND dampens noise

i have whrring noise... but that should be eliminated by getting new tires. i think its caused my tires being feathered.

and yeah.. low pro tires are noise as ****.. but youre going for the look so you cant do anything about that.

i had a similar prob.. at 40 I was going deaf.. and the prob was the lack of camber kit on my lowered car. The tires weren't making proper contact w/ the road, combined w/ high performance tires = loud *** noise.. Do you have a camber kit?

Yes. I do have both rear and front camber kits and my car is in perfect allignemnt. But the noise im talking about isnt any whirling sound from the tires. You can tell its outside noise cos its the SOUND OF WIND. I hope you guys understand waht i mean. Its not some rubbling Hum from underneath. U can clearly tell its coming from the upper area.

Im definitely getting rid of my G2 Style Side mirrors, coz they do contribute towards the noise. Secondly, I would like to add that when I drive through standing RAIN WATER, I hear the sound of water gushing from underneath clearly from under the car. I recall that the ****ing technician who installed my rear and front speakers 2 years ago got rid of some WHITE THERMOPOLE kinda stuff which was stuffed with in the front doors between the panels and the door. Could that also be contributing ?

Do u mean TAR/ Charcol ??? coz i know a lot of different third world countries use that. But for rust, never heard they help for noise reduction too.

Re: In-cabin Noise Reduction ?

Search up sound deadening. There are hundreds of threads about it. What you're wanting to do is to deaden the interior and prevent sound from coming in. Deadening your foot wells will do a lot to help out, as they are a major culprit for letting sound in. I'd probably recommend some type of mat deadener (two layers minimum) and a layer of liquid deadener on top of that. That should eliminate a whole lot of the road noise. Seond would be the door panels. Make sure you deaden inside the frame, as well as the exo skeleton of the door. I'd use mat deadener as much as possible on the inside of the door, especially on the large flat panels. Then I'd cover the mat and entire inside of the door (especially the parts you couldn't get) with liquid deadener. The trunk would be where I finish up after I deaden the entire cabin area. If you have a system, deadening the trunk will be most likely the first step though, as the system will create sonic vibration and resonance with lots of panels in the trunk. If you don't have a system, you could save the trunk forlast.
