A/C issues 2006 Civic
Hi all. Any idea what needs replaced? The compressor? The 2006 Civics a/c the last two years sometimes worked and other times not. It would usually work until the car was driven a while and then the air went warm. This year it never even worked at all. I took it to the Honda dealership yesterday and they said it had no leaks but a test showed it needed a relay switch and they had to order it. So today, I dropped it off and they called saying it was fixed. The invoice said recharged and replaced pressure sensor. I left and it was nice and cool until I drove it a few miles and it began warming up again and no longer put cold air out just like it did the last few years. I called and now I’m taking it back again on Friday. Why couldn’t they figure out the issue the first time? Does the whole compressor need replaced? Should I have to pay for a whole recharge again since they misdiagnosed it today? Any ideas.? Thanks. Greg

Probably needs a clutch and coil.
Could be other things. We can only guess since we can't see the car to diagnose it.
Why didn't they find it the first time? I have a ton of guesses, but that's irrelevant.
