2001 honda civic LX - (p1607-code) ?

Check engine light is on with the error code of p1607. The car only has 40,000 miles do I need my computer for the ecu reflashed or replaced? It's a 2001 honda civic lx

P1607 =Internal PCM problem.
Erase codes/reset PCM
If code resets again, replace PCM

A brand new replacement PCM will need the immobilizer programmed to it before it will allow the engine to continue running

I need to replace the whole thing ? Couldn't i just get this one repaired if it is just a circuit failure or something in the pcm/ecu ...

Ok. The problem is internal inside the PCM.

You can try to fix it however you want to try. Good luck.
