The collar gear that abs uses to check RPM was likely knocked off position or something similar to that.
Take back to the shop that screwed it.

MOST common problem: Wheel bearing was installed backwards.

It's most likely that they couldn't take the sensor off without breaking it.
I would bring it back to the shop see what they say other than that the sensor itself is cheap and can be replaced yourself easy if the shop don't want to do it for a low rate .
