Re: additive wich one

Just change your oil/filter at recommended intervals with the proper oil and don't worry about additives. My Civic has been cared for in this manner for 17 years and 240k kms it still doesn't burn or leak any oil between changes.

Re: additive wich one

When it comes to using a "oil additive" theres very few that actually
are of professional grade and of good quality & safe to use in your
engine best ones I found that will mix in mineral or synthetic oil
that actually work very well are.

-BG Moa
-Lube Guard

Honda does not recommend any additives for oil, nor gasoline

Re: additive wich one

No...not so fast there mickey.

the better quality made Oil additives as i posted do actually
perform and do what there suppose to. as far as providing excellent
wear protection in any engine. as far as Dura Lube & slick 50
or motor up are concerned seriously I would not use them heres
just some facts from what I know and have gathered down over
the Years on them

Re: additive wich one

My owners manual says: " your vehicle does not require oil additives. In fact they may adversely affect engine performance and durability."

I'll give you that, BG does have some reputable products.

A group called Justice Brothers does the same demo....same machine, similar product, and everything.
The demo is real, the product really does wheat he shows in that video.

I actually got to play with the JB reps machine, I dumped in every engine oil that was handy (including some fresh 20w50 for my Hog), gear lube, and almost every other product laying around handy in the shop to check it out.
All products I grabbed made the dang thing come to a screeching halt.

The guy hawking this stuff in my area said he put his Harley on a dyno to get a baseline, dump whatever the stuff is in his crankcase, do another dyno pull and get 5 extra horsepower (or something to that effect).
IDK. I'm not gonna do that to mine.

I'm still not putting anything but oil in my crankcase.

Re: additive wich one

ezone I have used there products with great results time and time
again. anyone can make an oil additive, the question is can they back
it up with a warranty if something should go wrong? BG products can

I have used there products and find there products in dealer ships in
my area, there recognized as top notch as far as im concerned.
look up there Lifetime protection plan on the page for yourself.

I'd be worried that they claim it wasn't their product that caused the damage and Honda claiming it was. I tend to sell my vehicles before they hit 10 years so I'm not so concerned with extending engine life, and I find the new vehicles tend to perform well enough on their own. All the power to those that benefit from products such as these tho. 👍
