Hello I'm a new member I ha e 2007 civic si the vsa light stays on the whole time and no codes come on the reader can somebody help? I would really appreciate it thanks

I suppose you are trying to use a generic OBD2 reader? That won't work for ABS/TCS/VSA.


Gonna have to see what code(s) are stored first.
A trip to the dealer may be in your future.....or a well equipped Honda specialty shop that can scan it.


One other question: Do you have HID headlights?

At first it would come on and off now it's been a month and stays on all the time.

Many people strap their HID ballast to the ABS unit and it causes problems with the ABS computer through HF interference. (ABS/TCS/VSA are all controlled within in the same unit)

Mount your ballast as far away from the ABS unit as possible and keep the HV wires routed as far away as possible.

If there are codes stored you aren't supposed to be able to clear them by disconnecting the battery..... Needs a correct scanner to read and clear memory.
If there are codes stored it really needs checked out properly first. Figure out if it is a real problem and all that.

Thanks I'll make sure they are as far but I know it's not on the actual unit but thanks I guess I'll have to go to the dealer
