Hello, new to the site and i'm hoping you can all lead me in the right direction in the parts i need for fixing my wife's lock actuator on her driver side door. The door will not lock or unlock using the keyless entry and the dealership said it was due to a broken actuator. All over the internet I can find an actuator that will fit civics between 2001-2005, but I am having trouble finding the correct part # for her 2006 civic. I've seen some tutorials on how to replace the part and feel confident that I can fix it, however I'm not sure which actuator will work best for me. If you could please point me in the right direction of finding an actuator that will fit a 2006 Honda Civic DX 4D that would be great!

2006 DX didn't come with power locks. Is this an aftermarket add-on?

If so, you might need to return to the installer.
Or take it all apart, see what's in there, and get creative.


All the rest (LX EX etc.) with factory power locks, the actuator is built into the door latch. You have to buy the latch.

Aftermarket parts are looking kind of scarce... and ezone just explained why lol
