instrument cluster swap

I'm sure this has been done before. I searched and was surprised that I came up with nothing.I would like to swap out my instrument cluster from my dx civic to one from an ex so that I can have a tachometer. Is the car prewired for this so it will essentially be plug and play or will I have to wire in the tach separately?

Re: instrument cluster swap

What was the answer ?? Looked at manual but could not tell a lot.

I know some have tried to add the EX/Si outside temp display with limited results.

Re: instrument cluster swap

I know they are prewired in the 5th gen civics. I did the swap in my 94 dx and it was plug and play.
