Sun Glare?

Hi. Thinking about purchasing a 2012 Civic. I've read some issues with severe sun glare from the dashboard on Civics. Is this still an issue with the 2012s? I believe the dash is a different texture from previous generations? Also heard something about reflection from the instrument panel reflecting on the windshield at night? Not sure how this can happen - still an issue in 2012? Thanks for your input.

Re: Sun Glare?

I got my 12 Civic LX in October 2011.

I personally have not had an issue with anything you described.

Re: Sun Glare?

Armorall is the worst.. cheapest stuff on the planet. The sun actually causes an evaporation effect on it that makes it over time haze the windshield with an oily film and actually makes it hard to see outside. Not only that but the oily haze is hard to clean off because its.. well, oily. That's why Craig is right, avoid armorall like the Plague. I used to use that stuff all the time and eventually figured out why I couldn't see!!!

Re: Sun Glare?

Best thing I have found for glare is a good quality pair of polarized sunglasses.

You WILL be hooked after your 1st pair.
