Just bought 09

hello, this is totally new territory to me as I've owned trucks my whole life so take it easy on me. I just bought a 09 civic ex coupe black on black automatic. believe me I wanted the Si but I got a great deal and I mainly got the car because i drive 70+ miles a day. The car has 17k miles and is in perfect condition.

I already made arrangements to get a professional tint job.

My main question IS what are the first basic things I do to gain HP and torque. I'd love to add 20-30 hp. I was thinking cold air intake....what else???

I think the car runs great after 6000rpm. Let me know, thanks

Be careful, you can void the warranty in a hurry.
The car should have 5 year 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Re: Just bought 09

it's actually 100,000 mile warranty.

Do any of those performance chips work?

I meant the factory warranty on the powertrain is 5/60.
Honda Care will give you 100k, IIRC

Depends.

Re: Just bought 09

Honestly, Flashpro with a tune, full exhaust (header back), COLD AIR intake, and a PR2 (yuck) spacer is all you can do. Sure the Flashpro void's the warranty but if something breaks you just reflash to stock, and remove the spacer, intake, and exhaust. Strickly bolt on's that you can take right off in case of an issue is what it seems you need.... or just say F it, like I did at 7000 miles and go Turbo lol.
