The 8th gens DX LX & EX all use the same R18 engine. The Si gets the K20.

It's mostly comfort options, but the biggest performane upgrades are a rear sway bar, rear disc brakes and slightly quicker turning ratio and larger wheels and tires.

Note:

If you plan on coming later here to ask what you need to do to get more power from the car, do not get LX nor EX, go for the Si. EX/LX do not give you any good response to bolt-ons. Serious cash needed to get more power.

I picked up the EX because it comes with a moon roof and the alloy rims. There are other things that the EX comes with, but those were the biggest seller for me.
