New to modding

Just picked up my 2006 2 door Civic Si the other week. I only have my temporary license for now but i figured id start to look into modding. I want to start with the performance not really the looks. I was looking at exhaust systems cold air intake etc... Don't really know what to get and whats the best. Any recommendations of what to get? Want to make my civic just that much faster.

Thanks!

A turbo would make it faster, other than that, intake and exhaust will only make it sound cooler

LOL the new SI's are fast anyway and with a exhaust, intake, and header it will be reaching 215 or a little more to the wheels. The k20z3 performs very good with bolt ons.

For intake go with either AEM or Injen, and for the header go with the best which is the kiddracing header, then the exhaust go with either the quite one which is the apexi ws2 or the a little louder one that gives very good gains is the hks hi power. But if you are wanting to turbo do not buy the header or the intake because they will be a waste unless you are not going to turbo for a very very long time.

Re: New to modding

Just start out with like intake, catback exhaust, header, and coilovers and you will be good. You might also want to invest into the engine management for your car which is flashpro. This would make your car respond alot better. The new SI is a nice car.

Yeah they are. My only complaints were that bottom hinged gas pedal and interior design. Well, maybe just that speedometer. Lol.
