Re: short ram intake cai ????

They are both roughly the same maybe just a little more with CAI since the air is colder. But you probably wont see more then 3whp with either of the two.

Re: short ram intake cai ????

in theory a cold air will outperform a short ram simply because its sucking air out of the bottom of the car, and the short ram is sucking air out of the engine bay (which still gets fed cold air through your front grill). its true that the cai will outperform the sri on a car that gets a good gain from an intake, but not by much.

as for your car? you will not notice a difference in performance really with either one. gearbox dynoed the performance of an intake a long time ago and it was only about 2hp. you will THINK you feel it, but you really wont. you will just hear and think you feel it, thats about it.

just be safe and go with a sri to prevent your engine sucking up water from the road with the cai.

i have a fujita sri on my 06 and i love it! plus with the cai you have to remove the bumper every time you clean the filter, which is every3,000 miles or so
