Oil filter deflector??

I bought this Blue metal Oil Filter Deflector, for lack of a better description, from the Honda site store. It describes how it prevents oil leakage, somehow, when you unscrew your oil filter. One side of this thing has a circular magnet, but I haven't been able to figure out how it installs on my 2007 Honda Civic LX. Has anyone heard of this device or knows how it suppose to be installed?

Thanks for your reply. I just found out that this part is not for my type engine. I have the 1.8 L engine and this deflector is for a 2.0 L and higher type engine so I am sending it back. Again, thanks for the reply.
