throttle sticking
throttle sticking
I have a new 07 civic with only 2800 KM and today the throttle wants to fight with the brakes. I came close to rear-ending a dozen cars on the way home from work today.
What is happening is when I try to come to a stop it seems the engine wants to continue reving at about 2200 RPM's for about 5 seconds and then it will drop down to idle. Other times I just have to give the gas a quick snap to get the engine back to idle.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I understand the civic is now drive by throttle; since there is no cable what is causing the engine to rev. I am going to have the car towed to the dealer since I find this problem unsafe for driving.
