Remote Starter

I was wondering if anyone has installed a remote started to their 06 Ex. I am having one installed tomorrow and they say they need to reprogram the unlock and lock keyless entry to the remote starter remote in order to bypass the factory alarm. Has anyone seen or know anything about this because on my last car (jeep) they did not need to do that. I ask because the keyless is already on the key which i like and it is an extra $50 to have them put it on the other remote which seems unnecessary to me. Thanks.
