Side SRS light stays on...and already tried reset
I have a issue with my SRS light. The SRS light came on one day when a buddy slammed the passenger seat back real hard. It came on and I tried the reset however even when shorting the wires the light never kicked off after the first 6 secs (which I think it should if I read the DIY corect) Then a few weeks ago I noticed the side airbag light came on all the time and goes off when I put something heavy in the seat or someone heavy sits there....kinda like op of what it used to do. My guess is there is some sensor in the seat that is faulty or not adjusted correctly...anyone Know how that works, or how hard it is to get down in that area of the seat....
May just have to fork over some loot to honda
which could be spent on mods

I know for the side airbag light that is just the sensor detecting something on the side of your seat. They then turn off until the object moves, for instance in case you were the passenger and you were sleeping, it turns off. Move around and put pressure on the side areas an dyou will see what I mean. That I do know. What I do need help with, and I'm sure no one will check this thread but- My SRS or the main airbag light came on and I have done nothing to the steering wheel and such. I did put in the cluster pod but I checked an dnothing has been losened or disconnected. No fuses gone out. Could it just be the sensor is dirty, even on a new car? Thanks for any help. Laters
