I come in peace! Need some help with a civic.....
Well where do I start.....
No I don't own a civic but my brother does and I'm trying to help him out by making it faster for him.
Its a 2000civic SI is that a 7th gen?
What I'm looking for is some "free mods" basically things you can diy...
now I have already looked at the DIY part and plan to do the TB coolant bypass but I have some other ones in mind......
1. does advancing the timing on civics help them and if so could someone explain it to me? I attempted to on his car but found that there isn't per say timing marks on the car just what looked to be some bars that changed position relative to each other...
2. In my car I have a manual fan switch wired where I can control my electric fan, from the diy section I saw the wiring schematic and saw the fan pin, does anyone know if its a ground switched device? (meaning if I set it up to ground out that circuit *just like with the vtech light sorta*) that you can manually turn on your fan switch? (p.s if I do and it works I'll write you all a little article about it)
and lastly other than those mentioned above is there any other little mods like that I can do to help him out any?
any and all help is greatly appreciated and before someone asks......
Yes I drive a mustang....

If the 2000 Si is like the 7th gen in respect to the fan switch, then yeah... as of right now it would be an open circuit. To make it go on, the circuit needs to be closed (switch installed to complete the ground)
