2003 ex headlight removal
Aight so i got my headlights in today and i went outside with the diy steps printed out.....well what was suppose to be a 20-40 min prodject became much more complicated for my friend and i. I did what the steps said removing the plastic clips and the screws in the wheel well....and then undid the bolts and screws on the headlights (2top and that pesky one under the car) and atlast the unit would not come out.....wtf!!!! Can someone help me out.....i would like to put the headlights in and everyone seems to say it is really easy to remove the bumper well i had one hell of a time today and decided to post this tonight so i can do it tomm afterwork......please help!!!!! Also the halo rings???? what do i need to do to get those running?
take the bumper completely off, one screw in each of the wheel wells, not all of them, then all the plastic pieces under the front bumper, there are two screws under there as well, after you have 4 screws and a handful of those plastic things, oh yeah some on the radiator cover as well, put all that down in a place where you wont lose it, then go to the side of the car, put your hand on the underside of the bumper but in the wheel well and yank hard, there are 4 or 5 clips that will "break" lose and the bumper will come completely off
after that remove all FOUR of the bolts holding the light on

Just unbolt the bracket with the headlight attached to them. Its much easier to pull the whole bracket out from underneath. Get the 2 on top and then 2 holding the bracket. When you put oit back together, bolt the bracket to the light then pop them in the car.
There's 4 bolts holding the headlight on, one is a pain to get to while its in the car.

First step, remove clips and screws that hold on the bumper (red)
Pry bumper forward
Second step, remove bolts that hold on headlight assembly (green)
Unplug bulbs
remove headlight and clear it
Reverse to reassemble, took me about 2 hours total time including going to the store and baking my sedan headlights.
I didn't take this picture but it was sent to me when I did my lights. Hopefully this helps.

and yes, as the picture shows, you CAN be lazy like me and not pull the bumper off, just pry it forward. I did it this way also because I didn't have any helping hands.
