Electrical load
Does anybody here know how much electrical load we can put on our alternators before they or the cars electrical system fries. Anybody blown up their alternator yet? And lastly, does anybody know of a shop here in Milwaukee where an alternator can be built up to provide more current?
well, ive drawn close to 200 amps from a fully stock electrical system, havent friedn anything yet, so i know htey cna take a pretty hefty draw.
buf if ou are talking about continuous draw (god what could require 200 amps of draw continuously that would fit in our cars??) then yoru electrical system wont be able to handle it based on the ability to keep teh battery charged.
but if you have a non-continuous draw (like, big stereo amplifiers) you will be more than fine. guaranteed.
