is the Kaminari ram air hood functional?
Was looking into getting the Kaminari carbon fiber ram air hood and was wondering if the skoop waqs functional? I have a stock airbox in so I was wondering if it worked with a SRI? as opposed to modifying the stock set up? This may be a dumb question, maybe it's not functional at all, but I know of no one around where I live who has one, never even seen the underneath of the hood, so I was just curious. If the Kaminari isn't truly a ram air hood, is there another manufacturer out there who makes one?

since we dont really have a top mounted intercooler than its really not functional. even if the scoop was open throughout it wont really do anygood its mainly for looks i mean yea itll shove air inside the engine bay but it wont do much

why does it matter if its functional or not? does that really make a difference of a purchase?
did you know that the air going above yrou hood is actually at a lower pressure than the surrounding air? did you know that that lower pressure air actually decreses the amount of power yoru engine can make?
if you like how it looks, dont worry abotu whether its carbon, fiberglass, kevlar, functional, non-functional, etc etc etc
did you buy yoru tripledecker wing cause it has more function? no! you bought it cause you like it.
same with yrou hood. do you LIKE this hood? the way it looks? then get it.

It just helps heep the engine a little cooler if you hav and SRI it might privide cooler air and keep the manifold cool. But other than that it is a body mod. Also it is lighter than the stock hood.

I was just wondering because I was going to get an intake at the same time! Now if it was functional, meaning that it actually brought aire from outside inside, I would get the SRI, but if there was no flow, meaning it was closed off, then i'de go with the CAI, get it?
I like the the hood for it's looks, and lightweight, that's what interested me into it, like I said, I've never actually seen the backside of one of these, and was just curious.
