95% done debadging my car, need help
So I got the stupid dealer sticker off, and the dxR sticker (my car came with a spoiler, hood guard, and aluminum wheels. They called this the R package and therefore my car had a yellow R sticker on it). Next I tackled the civic badge... I got it off but not all the residue would come off. I tried heating it up with a hairdryer, tried using WD-40... no go. I got most of it off but not all. Any suggestions? I have this product here that my roomie used for removing stickers from an electric guitar called The Super DeGooper. It says it can be used on metal and painted surfaces but to test on an 'inconspicuous area' first. Has anybody used this product? I'd like to get this done today, I already had to drive to Canadian Tire with the residue still on there.... GHETTO! It gotta go, I need help.

did you try goo-gone. thats what alot of others that debadged there car used. i dont think it affects the paint at all. or just try the super degooper stuff. try it on the inside part of your trunk or hood or something first to see if it does anything to the paint.

Be sure to wax those exposed areas soon with some respectable name-brand wax. I personally like Meguiars' products.
Goo gone tends to leave a windex-type residue, but waxing takes care of it.

i got a nice set of momo rims, they're only 14's tho. nice for the winter. i wasn't able to find goo gone at canadian tire, being sunday there aren't any places open now at this hour to check.

Since you've already removed the dxr badge, the dealer badge, and I'm assuming the trim emblems as well as the "H" badge, and all you got left is the civic badge, then arent you 80% done, not 95%?????

interesting that you would waste your time working out formulas for something so trivial. i think some ppl have lost sight of what these forums are for and use them as a means of feeling good about themselves. anyways, i got it completed. elbow grease made up for it in the end.
