Question Change muffler?

on an aftermarket exaust system can you change the muffler to any other muffler? cause that would be great.

hmmm . . i dont kno about that , but i got an aftermarket muffler , and then got the exhaust custom made . . . u can get almost anything done at shops

You should be able to change the muffler on any exhaust system wheather it be a aftermarket cat-back exhaust or stock exhaust system. All aftermarket mufflers can have hangers welded on so that they can hang just like your stock or aftermarket muffler. Most ricers just get the Muffler welded on & don't even have a cat-back system.

nice question, bothers me also...i hate cutting and welding. a nice bolt on muffler is good. Why not install common hangers and bolts and the plates that hold together to the other muffler, just pattern it to the existing one that came with the exhaust system. Just an idea though...
